I love a good party. Come on, who doesn’t?
Professionally speaking, parties are some of my favorite things to shoot.
I absolutely love the colors and the decorations and preparations. I am always amazed and impressed with how much work the hosts put into their special events. Everything always looks spectacular.
Cakes get cut, food is served, drinks are poured and everyone lets their guard down. The invitees are busy mingling and catching up. As soon as everyone begins to enjoy themselves, that’s when the magic happens . . . photographically speaking.
Some parties are really business events in disguise.
Fortunately, all it takes is some excellent food and refreshing drinks and before you know it, everyone is having fun regardless of why they came.
Everyone has birthdays. Usually one per year. At least that’s where I am at, at last count.
Birthday parties are truly fun to shoot, because of all the wonderful decorations and party favors and happy emotions.
Truth be told, whenever and wherever people are having a good time, it usually means that some spectacular images are just waiting to be made.
From lavish tables adorned with sparkling place settings that stretch out forever . . .
. . . to breathtaking views captured high atop the cityscape . . .
. . . as the sun fades and the city lights begin to sparkle . . .
. . . make no mistake about it – I want to be there, camera in hand.
